Sous Chef: 

Job Description: 

Amanita is seeking individuals with a passion for creating exceptional meals and experiences centered around local high quality ingredients. As a member of our back of house team you will employ technical culinary skills, creativity, and attention to detail. We operate with kind and clear communication, collaboration, and cleanliness every step of the way. Amanita offers competitive / negotiable wages based on experience, in addition to shared tips.  F/T and P/T positions both available.

 

Job Duties: 

  • Light food preparation of menu items

  • Operate on hot and cold lines in the kitchen; follow plating guidelines, manage ticket times, attention to detail, cleanliness, and food safety guidelines

  • Open and close kitchen as outlined by management 

  • Assist in dishwashing

  • Maintain awareness of ingredient inventories, restock as necessary, and effectively communicate needs to management

  • Maintain a working knowledge of seasonal, local ingredients

Requirements: 

  • Ability to take initiative and self motivate 

  • Ability to operate calmly and effectively under pressure and during peak hours

  • Professionally represent our brand and its mission

  • Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely throughout all areas of the cafe, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces 

  • Ability to lift 25 - 50 lbs

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers, management, and guests

  • Ability to take and give direction

  • Work in a small and active space of variable noise and temperature levels


 

Kitchen Assistant: 

Job Description: 

Amanita is seeking individuals who thrive in the behind the scenes operations of the hospitality environment. As a kitchen assistant, you will ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen through dishwashing, and provide support to our line cooks running food and assisting in food preparation. We operate with kind and clear communication, collaboration, and cleanliness every step of the way. Amanita offers competitive / negotiable wages based on experience, in addition to shared tips.  F/T and P/T positions both available.

 

Job Duties: 

  • Ensure the cleanliness of the cafe’s bussing stations and the availability of dishware for your teammates

  • Wash, sanitize and dry all kitchen utensils, equipment and other items placed in the dish area

  • Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment

  • Assist line cooks and chefs in food preparation and delivering food to tables

  • Effectively communicate with in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction

  • Multitask calmly and effectively under pressure

Job Description

Amanita is seeking individuals with a passion for crafting delicious coffee beverages and co-creating a high quality experience for both our customers and staff. As a member of our front of house team, you will employ technical barista skills,  creativity, and attention to detail. We operate with kind and clear communication, collaboration, and cleanliness every step of the way.  Amanita offers competitive / negotiable wages based on experience, in addition to shared tips. F/T and P/T positions both available.
 

Job Duties: 

  • Operate POS software

  • Maintain cleanliness of the cafe’s dining room

  • Maintain knowledge of the cafe’s food and beverage menu and specials and their availability, and clearly communicate this information to customers

  • Maintain a clear and organized work space, paying attention to inventory of supplies and ingredients

  • Provide creative input on hot and cold drink creations

  • Perform opening and closing duties

  • Follow cash handling procedures  

Requirements: 

  • 1+ years of experience working with espresso machines and making coffee beverages

  • People skills: interest in interacting with customers, listening to their needs, and serving them

  • Professionally represent our brand and its mission

  • Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely throughout all areas of the cafe, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces 

  • Ability to lift 25 - 50 lbs.
